Good Things

I'm really happy today! I feel like really positive things have been going on in my life lately (or else, I'm just better at focusing on those things rather than the negative). Here's a list of some reasons why I'm happy today:

-I did some online family history indexing last night. Sacrament Meeting last Sunday was all about the need to do indexing, and I really felt like I needed to do it. I'm NOT a motivated person, so when I feel an urge to do something like this, I HAVE to jump on it or else I never will. So, I started doing it and I LOVE it! I used to do it with my mom YEARS ago before it was all computerized...I know it's a little strange, but I LOVE data entry. And, I feel like I don't really have time to research and do my own family history, so I feel really happy that I've found a way to contribute and help someone else with their own geneology.

-We had a little FHE with Taylor on Monday about Jesus and how He loves us. Obviously, it was a VERY short lesson, but in the middle of the lesson, Taylor grabbed the framed picture of Christ out of our hands and hugged it to herself with a big smile on her face. It was the SWEETEST moment! I really believe that she understood that her Heavenly Father loves her, even if she can't tell us.

-I found out that from now on, my EVMCO rehearsals are going to start a half hour later, which will allow me to spend a little bit more time with Taylor and I'll be able to put her to bed! Hooray for not being a dead-beat mommy!

-My boss's wife is working in the office now and Wednesdays and Fridays. I LOVE her! I feel like she spreads happiness and positiveness wherever she goes! She's such an uplifting individual (which is sorely needed in our office environment).

- I'm in the process of reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It's been really slow going because I don't have TONS of time to read and because, while I know it's going to amazing, I've had a really hard time getting into it since I can only read it a few minutes at a time. However, I'm starting to really enjoy it! And, even though it's going to take me a long time to read it, I've been able to get lists of books to read by the time I finish, I don't think I'll EVER run out of things to read!

Well, I know there's more things going on in my life right now, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head :) I love being happy!

This is what I look like at work today:

I'm usually tired on Friday mornings for a couple of reasons: 1) I have to get up early at be at work before 7:00 am and 2) I have EVMCO rehearsal that goes until 10:00pm on Thursday nights. Today, however, I'm pretty much like a zombie. Last night, we had our final rehearsal for Rob Gardner's Lamb of God, which is premiering TONIGHT!!! It was an AWESOME rehearsal, but VERY grueling. The chorus for the show is standing during the duration of the show, which will be about an hour and half, which won't be TOO bad. But last night, we were standing for about 4 hours for the duration of the rehearsal. Holding choir folders...cramped in with 200 other choir members. It was exhausting. Oh! But there is an upside! Brandon (the EVMCO director) told us that we would NOT be required to wear heels!!! Such a relief. I LOVE heels, but I think it would be against my 8th amendment right to wear heels for the duration of the preformance. Seriously. It's kinda grueling!

In other news, Taylor is teething her molars. Which, if you can imagine, results in a very happy baby. And I mean that in the most sarcastic way possible. Poor girl had a fever last night..and earlier in the week, she's been constipated, irritable, and all around just a really happy girl. When I put oragel on her poor gums last night, this was her reaction:

I've given it to her before, but I don't think she liked it much (also, I'm at work, and I don't have any ACTUAL pics of Taylor with that's why I'm having to resort to Google Images...which I love).

Hooray for Fridays! Hooray for Lamb of God.. Seriously, if you don't have tickets yet, you should go get them. It's going to be amazing!

Lamb of God

If any of you are familiar with any of Rob Gardner's work, then you know it's AMAZING!!! Next weekend, he will be premiering a new production called "The Lamb of God." As a member for the EVMCO, I'm privileged enough to sing in the chorus for it. Please, please, please come if you can. It's TOTALLY worth the time. Every Thursday that we've been practicing the music has been an amazing spiritual experience. I'm so excited to be able to sing about Christ, and share my testimony through Rob Gardner's words. Click here for more information.
The soloists are amazing, and the EVMCO choir is the BEST choir I have ever been privileged to be in. It's gonna be AWESOME!!
